Approach

Our biggest challenge was to move beyond the clutter of traditional streaming services, which often overwhelm rather than inspire—an ambition we tackled when Orbit first launched on November 17, 2015. As an older project, it faced the limitations of its time, but we believe its vision remains timeless. We asked ourselves then, and still do today: how can we simplify the journey of discovering music while making it deeply personal? Orbit’s core—the nexus—had to intuitively translate colors into moods, speed into rhythm, and social context into connection, all while ensuring the technology felt invisible, letting the music take center stage. Looking back, we think this project is worth revisiting—who knows, we might revive it.
